Estos son mis padres, los saqué del baúl de los recuerdos y los metí en una caja.

De esto ya hace ya un par de años pero recuerdo como si fuera hoy que me lo pasé como una enana.

These are my parents, I took them from an old chest and put them in a box. It's been a couple years already, but I remember as if it was today that I enjoyed myself as a little kid.

Un pirata malhumorado y borrachín es tentado por Santa Claus a viajar a lomos de uno de sus renos al Polo Norte, allí le espera una oferta interesante y una misión casi imposible. En la historia habrá barcos piratas, niños ilusionados, renos y sobre todo, mucha aventura disparatada. Se puede ver un poco más del libro aquí.

A grumpy pirate is tempted by Santa Claus to travel to the North Pole riding one of his reindeer. Once there,  an interesting offer and an almost impossible mission are waiting for him. Novedades / news

Tras mucho trajín he descolgado el cartel de “en construcción” de MI WEB.

Ahora que está en marcha, aunque seguiré colgando aquí mis nuevos trabajos, pretendo también tocar otros temas, ¿cuáles? todavía no lo tengo muy claro, me gustaría mostrar más de los procesos, bocetos, referencias... en fin, de mi búsqueda al enfrentarme a un proyecto.

Además dejo las dos últimas ilustraciones de Alicia. He disfrutado mucho con esta historia y con las posibilidades de sus personajes.

Y aprovecho hoy, por ser lunes y porque sí para daros las gracias. Por estar ahí, frente a la pantalla, dejando caer vuestra mirada en mis ilustraciones, o tecleando algún comentario, mil gracias.

PD. Perdonad a los que me seguís por el desbarajuste de haber cambiado las ilustraciones de las anteriores entradas, tenía que actualizarlas.

After much work I finally took down the “under construction” signo of MY WEB.

Now that it's working, and though I will keep sharing here my new works, I inted to touch other subjects. Which? I still don’t know for sure, I would like to show more of the processes, sketches, referentes... in short, my search when facing a project.

I show you also my latest Alice illustrations. I have enjoyed very much this story and with the many posibilities its characters offer.

And I take this opportunity, because it is monday and just because, to say thank you. For being there, in front of the screen, gazing through my illustrations, typing a comment. Thank you  so much.

Ps. Sorry to those who follow me for the mess I made changing the illustrations in the previous entries.

Wonderland

Siempre que Alicia comía o bebía pasaba algo interesante, aquella vez empezó a crecer y crecer. Si el Conejo Blanco tuviera un poco de sentido común se le ocurriría sacarla por el tejado, pero sentido común no era algo de lo que estuvieran sobrados los habitantes del País de las Maravillas.

Every time Alice ate or drunk, something interesting happened, that time she grew and grew. If the White Rabbit had a bit of common sense he would think of taking her out through the roof, but common sense wasn't something people in Wonderland could be proud of.

Momo II

Momo no se entera de nada, le regalan una muñeca que dice ser perfecta pero que es un aburrimiento, una tortuga le lleva por toda la ciudad escapando de los hombres grises. Con lo bien que se estaba antes, cuando el tiempo no se ahorraba ni se robaba, se daba sin más y se disfrutaba.

Momo

Mientras los hombres de gris sangran el tiempo a los humanos haciéndoles más y más infelices, Momo busca respuestas en la Casa de Ninguna Parte, junto al maestro Hora. (Pinchar imágenes para agrandar)

Xalur

En agosto del año pasado me contactó Armando Rivera, editor y escritor de Letra Negra Editores de Guatemala y me propuso hacer un álbum con un cuento escrito por él. La historia transcurre en una noche sin estrellas hasta que una niña pizpireta se empeña en dibujarlas en su cuaderno. Hoy por fin tengo el libro en mis manos.

In August last year Armando Rivera, editora and writer of Letra Negra Editores from Guatemala contacted me. He proposed me to do a picture book based on a story written by him. The story takes place in a night with no stars until a smart girl insists on drawing them on her notebook. Today I finally have the book in my hands.
